NKSSP (Nepali Kala Saskriti tatha Sahitya Pratishthan) Australia inc. organized a program- folk musical event “RAMAILO SANJH” with ‘Khadga Garbuja’ on 20th Feb. 2010, at Marrickville Town Hall, Sydney on the occasion of Pratishthan’ 2nd annual anniversary.

NKSSP’s General Secretary Ramesh Baniya anchored the program. About 300+ audience were attended the program. Program was started at 7 pm and run about 4 hours long due to high level performance delivered by our guest artist high profile singer Khadga Garbuja and continuing demand from his fans.

NKSSP also launched its first publication of a poem book “ Prabaska Kabitaharu” (a collection of poems which was delivered on 196th Bhanu Janyanti program held on 19th July 2009 at Petersham Town Hall, Sydney) at the event. The guest artist Garbuja launched the book and NKSSP vice-president Janaki Paudel anchored launched episode. At this episode of the program Mr. Riddicharan Shrestha and Jyotishi Ojraj Lohani were honoured for their contribution on Nepali art, culture and literature. At the program various community organization leaders and medias were attended including ICC Advisor Indra Van, GNC president Narayan Prdhan and NRN Australia president Dhruba Subedi.

As this is a folk musical concert, the program was smoothly run through only songs and dance items accordingly. Off course our guest artist Khadga Garbuja is the main attraction of the program. Our high profile singer Garbuja sang almost 17 songs and a  song “salejo” 3 times on request by the audience. All his performance was memorable and audiences were around him dancing, clapping and singing together with him all the way through his performance. As an anchor myself was confused where to stop Garbuja as he is flowing himself with the audience interactively. To the point it is to say- singer Garbuja proved that our Nepali folk music still rocks and his performance was unbeatable.

The local artists also have performed many ways to entertain the audience by dances and songs. Pratishthan’ President Sujata Basnet with Mahendra Lamsal, Nabin rana with his band 26th Sun, Ramesh Baniya, Sunil Gurung sang mixed of  typical folk and pop song which was another attraction of the program. The program also included 5 typical dances in a group and single including comedy dance performed by Sunil Gurung were highly appreciated by the audience. The high profile local artists took part in dancing including well known dancer Salu Limbu, Sujan thapa (dancer-choreographer), Bharati, Jeena, Sony, yubaraj and others.

NKSSP is thankful to succeed this event with all participants (artists, volunteers) and audience and specially Myagdi Sewa Samiti that provided volunteers and other support for this event. At a personal level Mr. Raj Kumar Bhandari and Mr. Bhusan Rokka are highly appreciated for their support behind the scene.  We are more proud of the artist who has performed at a professional level to succeed the program including all dancers, singers and specially Sunil Gurung who played various types of role. We are pleased with singer Khadga Garbuja who has made this event possible traveling long way from home by himself making a bravery journey despite of his physical capacity.

“ It was the most successful event against some other events that was organized by our respectable community leaders even though we have requested to all, not to organize any event on that day about 2 months in advance”.

A TEARFUL FAIRWELL - TO GARBUJA

NKSSP has organized a farewell party to honor the guest artist Mr. Garbuja at Gorkha palace, Gladesville, Sydney, Saturday evening 27th February 2010.

The singer was honoured by several community organization leaders, members and by his die-hard fans from all around Sydney. Garbuja, a folk singer, the source of love, symbol of courage, a role model to anyone who is always proud to be a Nepali and loves Nepal by his heart. Singer Garbuja gives others a smile, a moment to enjoy, and a moment of happiness, but this evening it was different for him and others too. He was silent with full of tears in the middle of his thank you speech. “ At first I want to be identify myself as a Nepali, second I am an artist, then I am from indigenous background” said Garbuja. He also added in between tears- “ Our mother is only our mother- we don’t care whether she is black or white, thin or fat, poor or rich, beauty or ugly, we always have rights and we proudly call her “mother” and in reply- she always give us a hug with full of love, but other’s mother whatever she is we can’t call her mother” then he cried……all of sudden big silence, everyone had wet eyes. For Garbuja “mother” word was symbolic to our mother nation NEPAL.

As usual there was again happy time started with his songs and almost everyone danced at the party. 

Indra Van (ICC-NRN advisor), Dr. Narayan Prdhan (GNC-President), Goba Katuwal (ICC-NRN, asia pacific coordinator), Ganesh Tamang (President-NINFA), Chitra Limbu (Secretry-NINFA), Ramesh Pandey (President-NEHUPRED), Bishnu Hamal (Secretary-NRN), Hari Ramjali (secretary-Myagdi Sewa Samiti) Puna Bhandari (vice-Pre. NADF), Janaki Paudel (vice-Pre. NKSSP) and Sujata Basnet (President-NKSSP) presented farewell to Garbuja with warm of love, respect and appreciated his great contribution on Nepal’s folk music. They also thanked NKSSP members to present Singer Garbuja in Sydney. An apology message sent by various leader of the community who could not attend the program was conveyed to singer Garbuja. I, myself hosted the program.

Singer Garbuja has left Sydney Sunday afternoon. A great number of his villager friends, relatives and fans around 21 of them followed Garbuja up to the airport to express their ties with Garbuja and said painfully – BYE….BYE….

१९७ औं भानु जयन्ती, जुलाई ११, २०१०, सिड्नी

नेपाली कला संस्कृति तथा साहित्य प्रतिष्ठान, अस्ट्रेलिया को आयोजनामा १९७ औं भानु जयन्ती सफलतापूर्वक सम्पन्न गरिएको छ ! "विविध भाषा- अनेक भेष, प्रवाश भन्दा प्यारो देश" भन्ने नारा सहित नेपाली राष्ट्र भाषा का विभिन्न भाषा -भाषी हरुलाई अत्यधिक सहभागिता गराउने उद्द्येस्यले आयोजित उक्त साहित्य गोष्ठी ले ऐतिहासिक महत्व राख्ने कुरामा कार्यक्रममा उपस्थित सवै साहित्यकर्मीहरु सहमत थिए। कार्यक्रम जुलाई एघार तारिख आइतवारको दिन सिड्नीको एशफिएल्ड स्थित पोलिशक्लबमा संपन्न भएको थियो!

"जसरी पृथ्वी नारायण शाहले नेपालको भौगोलिक एकिकरण गरेका थिए , त्यसै गरि आदिकवि भानुभक्त आचार्यले  नेपालका   भाषाभाषीहरु लाई एउटै एकताको सूत्रमा बाध्ने काम गरेका थिए" । सिड्नीमा आयोजित आदिकवि भानुभक्त आचार्यको १९७ औं जन्मजयन्ती मनाउने कार्यक्रममा साहित्यकार अल्पबिरामले भानुभक्तको योगदान माथि प्रकाश पार्दै सो कुरा बताउनु भएको हो ।
बिभिन्न नेपाली राष्ट्र भाषाको साहित्यको अपूर्व संगम रहेको सो बहुभाषिक साहित्यिक गोष्ठी मा नेपाली राष्ट्र भाषाका शेर्पा, छन्त्याल , गुरुंग, राई , लिम्बू, तमाङ, नेवार साथै बोलीचाली भाषाको रुपमा संवैधानिक मान्यता प्राप्त देवनागरी लिपिको नेपाली भाषामा सर्जकहरुले आफ्नो सृजनाहरु सुनाएका थिए ।

कार्यक्रममा प्रस्तुत गरिएको " विश्व ब्यापिकरणको सन्दर्भमा नेपाली भाषा र साहित्यको स्थिति तथा भबिष्य"  नामक कार्यपत्रमा नेपाली भाषालाई  संरक्षण गर्न प्रवासमा  रहेका संघसंस्था  तथा संचार माध्यमहरुले महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका खेल्नुपर्ने बताइएको छ । डा होम मूर्ति पन्त र भीमसेन सापकोटाले संयुक्त रूपमा तयार गर्नुभएको कार्यपत्रमा नेपालका विविध  भाषाहरुलाई कार्यक्रमहरुमा प्राथमिकता दिने, हाल सिड्नीमा सञ्चालन भएको नेपाली भाषा स्कूलजस्ता पाठशालाको बिस्तार तथा प्रवर्द्दन गर्ने , नेपाली साहित्यिक प्रस्तुतिलाई संचार माध्यमहरुले प्राथमिकता दिदै शुद्द नेपाली भाषामा कार्यक्रम प्रस्तुत गर्ने  एबं साहित्यिक जमघटहरुलाई निरंतरता दिन सकियो भने केहि हदसम्म नेपाली भाषाको जगेर्ना गर्न सकिने औल्याइएको  छ  ।

नेपाली कला संस्कृति तथा साहित्य प्रतिष्ठान ले गत साल देखि प्रदान गर्दै आएको " नेपाली कला संस्कृति पुरस्कार" यस बर्ष सिड्नी का कलाकार भीमसेन गुरुंगलाई प्रदान गरिएको छ भने यो वर्षको "नेपाली साहित्य पुरस्कार" सिड्नीमा रहेर नेपाली साहित्यमा निरन्तर कलम चलाउनु हुने साहित्यकार कुमार गिरीलाई प्रदान गरिएको छ। गत साल २००९ मा सो पुरस्कार साहित्य तर्फ सहित्यकार एवं पत्रकार भीमसेन सापकोटालाई र कला-संस्कृति तर्फ चर्चित नृत्य कलाकार सुश्री सालु लिम्बुलाई प्रदान गरिएको थियो। सो दुबै पुरस्कारको राशि दुई सय एकवान्न डलर नगद  र प्रसंशा-पत्र  रहेको छ । कार्यक्रममा महाकवि लक्ष्मीप्रसाद देवकोटाको सुप्रसिद्द खण्डकाब्य मुनामदनलाई सिड्नीमा गत बर्ष ३ अक्टोवर २००९ मा सफलतापूर्वक मन्चन गरि नेपाली साहित्यलाई प्रवास मा फैलिन टेवा पुर्याए वापत उक्त नाटय समूहलाई प्रशंसा-पत्र प्रदान गरि सम्मान गरिएको थियो ।
 
यस वृहत-वहुभाषिक साहित्य गोष्ठी कार्यक्रमको अध्यक्षता संस्थाकि अध्यक्ष सुजाता केसीले गर्नु भएको थियो भने प्रमुख आतिथ्य वरिष्ठ सिने कलाकार रिद्दीचरण श्रेष्ठले गर्नु भएको थियो ।  बिशेष आतिथ्य होममूर्ति पन्त तथा ऑस्ट्रेलियाका साहित्यकार स्टेभेन लेलोरले गर्नु भएको थियो ।  आदिकवि भानुभक्त लगाएत अन्य १४ कवि-कवियत्री हरुको फोटो मा माल्यार्न्पन र पुष्प गुच्छा अर्पण गर्दै नेपाली राष्ट्रीय धून सहित शुरुवात गरिएको सो कार्यक्रममा संस्था का सदस्य ऋषि आचार्यले सहभागीरुलाई स्वागत मंतब्य दिनु भएको थियो । कार्यक्रमको अन्त्यमा मुनामदन कृतिमाथि कलाकार भीमसेनगुरुंग र सायन  क्षेत्रीको सानो एकांकी प्रस्तुतीले कार्यक्रमको शोभा झनै बढेको थियो ।

कार्यक्रम को औपचारिक व्यवस्थापन एवं अतिथिहरुलाई स्वागत तथा पुरस्कार वितरण समारोह संचांलन गर्दै विभिन्न कविहरूका वारेमा समेत आयोजक संस्थाका महा-सचिब रमेश बानियाँ ले प्रकाश पार्नु भएको थियो! उंहाले भाषिक एकताको लागि सो कार्यक्रमको आयोजना गरिएको बताउँदै कार्यक्रमको शुरुवातमा प्रवासमा नेपाली साहित्यको महत्वका बारेमा प्रकाश पार्नु भएको थियो। यस्तै कार्यक्रमको सन्चालनका लागि तयारी गर्दै रहंदा अचानक अश्वस्थ बन्नु भएकी संस्थाकि उपाध्यक्ष जानकी पौडेल द्वारा रचित कविता वाचन तथा उंहाको सिघ्र स्वास्थ्य लाभको कामना गरिएको थियो। सो कार्यक्रमको साहित्यको प्रस्तुति लाई साहित्यकार राजन शर्माले धेरै रषिक ढंगमा सन्चालन गर्नु भएको थियो !

कार्यक्रमको अन्तिममा गैर आवासीय नेपाली संस्थाकि सल्लाहकार इन्द्रा वनले धन्यवाद मंतब्य दिनु भएको  थियो भने कार्यक्रममा कुमार गिरी, निमा शेर्पा, सानु घिमिरे ,रमेश पाण्डे, भुपेन्द्र चुँडाल, महेन्द्र श्रेष्ठ, भरत पौडेल, सिन्धुढुंगाना (मेलवर्न वाट प्रेषित), तिर्थ राज बराल (न्युयोर्क बाट प्रेषित), हरि लामिछाने, सुमित्रा विस्ट ,एबोरिजिनल कवि स्टेभेन लैलोर, राजन शर्मा, प्रकाश पौडेल , पदम छन्त्याल, शशी राइ, सञ्जय तमाङ , चित्र लिम्बु,  शुभाष गुरुङ लगायत करिव ३० कवि तथा कवयित्री, कलाकार एवम रचनाकारहरूका सो कार्यक्रममा प्रस्तुती रहेको थियो।

कार्यक्रम लाई यस हद सम्म सफल पार्नको लागि सहयोग पुरयाउनु हुने प्राविधिक सहयोगी ट्वेन्टीओन डिजाइन अस्ट्रेलिया का निशेस शाक्य, प्रायोजकहरु ओली & असोसियेट्स का भवानी ओली, रामजी बिष्ट, प्रेम सापकोटा, कुमार गिरि, बेष्ट क्लिनिंग का राजकुमार भण्डारी,  यति त्रावल्स का महेन्द्र लम्साल लाई हार्दिक सधन्यवाद ज्ञापन  गरिएको थियो भने कार्यक्रम मा विभिन्न भाषा -भाषी लाई सहभागी गराउनु हुने जन-जाती महासंघ  परिवार र विशेष दुरी तय गरि आउनु भएका द्वय  कार्यपत्र प्रस्तोता डा. होममुर्ती पन्त र शेर्पा कविता प्रस्तोता निमा दोल्जे शेर्पा लाई संस्थाका महा-सचिव रमेश बानियाँ द्वारा आयोजकको तर्फवाट आभार व्यक्त गरिएको थियो!

सिड्नी, नेपाली कला सस्कृति तथा साहित्य प्रतिष्ठान, अष्ट्रेलियाको आयोजनामा सिड्नीमा समता काब्य सन्ध्या “प्रवासी पाईला” को पहिलो शृंखला सम्पन्न भएको छ । ग्रेनभिलमा रहेको यूनिक इन्टरनेशनल कलेजमा जनवरी २९ का दिन भएको कार्यक्रममा करिब तीस जना साहित्य अनुरागीहरुको उपस्थितिमा सम्पन्न उक्त काब्य सन्ध्यामा १३ कवि - कवियत्रीहरुले आफ्ना सृजनाहरु प्रस्तुत गर्नु भएको थियो !

कार्यक्रममा तीनवटाभन्दा बढी कृति प्रकाशित गरिसक्नुभएका साहित्यकार अल्पविराम पोखरेलीलाई सम्मान र प्रसंशा पत्र पनि प्रदान गरिएको थियो ! कार्यक्रमलाई सम्बोधन गर्दै कवि अल्पविरामले भाषा रहेमात्र आफ्नो पहिचान रहने भएकाले समता काब्य श्रृंखलालाई निरन्तरता दिन आयोजकहरुलाई अनुरोध गर्नुभयो !

प्रतिष्ठानका महासचिव रमेश वानियाँले निकै रोचक र आकर्षक तरिकाले संचालन गर्नु भएको कार्यक्रममा सिड्नीमा रहेका विभिन्न साहित्यकारहरु क्रमश गोमा आचार्य, भरत पोखरेल, हेमन्ता आचार्य, रमेश पाण्डे, भिमसेन सापकोटा, विदुर ढुङ्गेल, ऋषि आचार्य, थिरप्रसाद भण्डारी, जानकी पौडेल, अल्पविराम पोखरेली,  रमेश वानियाँले कविता वाचन गर्नुभएको थियो । उक्त कार्यक्रम मा अनुपस्थित साहित्यकार सानु घिमिरे र सुरेन्द्र दवाडी को कविता पनि पाठ गरिएको थियो !

कार्यक्रमको समालोचना तथा सुझावको क्रममा- जिएनसीका अध्यक्ष डाक्टर नारायण प्रधानले  -"कविता लेख्ने बानी नभएपनि सुन्दा आनन्द आउछ, नेपाल भ्रमण मा जाँदा सिद्दिचरण श्रेष्ठ लगायतका कविहरुको सम्पर्कमा थिए" भन्नु हुँदै "यहाँ पनि यस्तो कार्यक्रमको शुरुवात भयो, म प्राय सबै श्रृंखलाहरुमा उपस्थित हुन प्रयास गर्नेछु" भन्ने बचनबद्दताका साथ कार्यक्रमको सफलताको लागि शुभकामना ब्यक्त गर्नु भयो /


कार्यक्रमको शुरुवात राष्ट्रिय धुन पश्चात हालसालै दिबंगत हुनुभएका प्रतिष्ठित कला-कर्मी गायक द्वय कुमार कान्छा र हिरादेवी वाइवा अनि बरिस्ठ सिने कलाकार शान्ति मास्केको सम्मानमा १ मिनेट मौन धारण बाट गरिएको थियो ! कविशिरोमणि लेखनाथ पौडेलको बार्शिकोत्सत्व को उपल्छ्येमा उनका कविताहरु समेत कार्यक्रम संचालक वाट प्रस्तुत गरिएको सो कार्यक्रमको सभापतित्व प्रतिष्ठानकि उपाध्यछ जानकी पौडेल ले गर्नु भएको थियो !
